Word of the Month
The October 2016 Word of the month is SPORTSMANSHIP


The ethical, appropriate, polite, and fair behavior while participating in a game or athletic event. 


At SFK it is important for all of our martial artists to display excellent sportsmanship in and out of class. 


Student of the Month 
Congratulations to Jade Robey our September 2016 Student of the Month. 


Jade is a first degree black belt at Surprise Family Karate. In addition to her training and being on our competition & performance team,  she has also stepped up and been an amazing assistant at belt testings and other events. Way to go Jade! 


New Location 
As most of you know we have spent the last year looking for a new location. We are pleased to announce that our new location is located at 17058 W. Bell Road Suite 100 Surprise, AZ 85374. We will begin classes at our New Location November 1st!  All classes will continue at their regular times. We look forward to this new journey and are excited to have you be a part of it. 


Schedule 
Limited schedule on Friday, October 28th. Pee Wee Class only from 4:30 - 5pm. All other classes canceled as Team Surprise will be performing at Sunset Hills! 


No Classes on Monday, October 31st. Have a Happy Halloween! 


Fundraisers
Our next fundraiser will be for Dave and Busters Power Cards starting in October. Be sure to purchase your power cards then so you can use them at our 2016 Year End Holiday Party that will be hosted at the Westgate Dave and Busters on Friday, December 16th! 


Halloween Bash
Our 2016 Halloween Bash is coming up on Saturday, October 29th from 6pm - 9pm. Last year was one of our biggest events ever reaching over 270 people. The event includes games, prizes, trunk or treating, contests, and so much more! Be sure to sign up at the front table for all the fun events. Also, limited edition Halloween Shirts can be pre-ordered by October 12th. 


Testing
Congratulations to everyone that was promoted to their next rank at our September Belt Testing! The next Belt Testing is scheduled for Friday, December 16th. If you have any questions, please let us know.
